"Our aha moment came while I was in treatment for throat cancer. I had been a marathon runner when I was diagnosed. As you might imagine, I did not match the profile of a typical throat cancer patient. Cancer causes you to reexamine your life, reviewing what is really important. This reexamination caused us to move from the cold winters of Madison, WI to the hot summers of Austin, TX."
