Sara's aha moment
- Sara
"My husband and I moved to Austin in 2008, and soon after I dove into a new career in a corporate position. For almost two years, I woke up at 5:30 a.m., sat in traffic for almost two hours a day, and watched my entire department get fired. In 1998, I was diagnosed with Leukemia, and had a bone marrow transplant. I've always been acutely aware of how short life is but I realized that life should be so much more than traffic, money, and reports. In February, I quit my job and started working part-time for Cancer Connection, a local non-profit that connects cancer survivors with newly diagnosed patients."
